Core Application Support
Complete the core components of your application (and submit your first app!) to get a strong start to your admissions process.
This package is ideal for students who already have a strong, balanced list and want expert support completing their Common Application, personal essay, and supplemental essays for one college. It includes thoughtful coaching and accountability while allowing students to work efficiently and independently.
These core components make up 80% (or more) of each additional application your student will submit. After our work together is finished, they'll have a perfect model to help them cross off the remaining applications on their list.
With guidance, students will complete:

The Common Application, including the Activities section and Additional Information section (if needed)

The personal essay, with help from brainstorming and topic selection all the way to drafting and final revisions

Supplemental essay(s) for one college, to be chosen together at the beginning of the coaching process
Includes:

Review of the student’s college list and light feedback

Regular Zoom meetings over an 8-week period (typically 8-12 meetings), scheduled during after school and evening hours

Flexible communication and project management support between meetings

A customized timeline to help the student with the rest of their applications
Does not include:

Building a custom college list from scratch

Financial aid or scholarship advising

Outreach to admissions offices or college-specific research

Strategy for highly rejective colleges (e.g., Ivy Leagues) or unusual application circumstances
The cost for Core Application Support is $4,500. Depending on availability, families who want additional guidance may be able to book additional consulting at the hourly rate.
How it Works
The summer before senior year is an ideal time to get ahead with Core Application Support!
Step 1: Free Consultation
Let’s meet to see if we’re a good fit. I want students to get the best support available -- even if that means referring you to a different counselor!
Step 2: Personalized 1-on-1 Coaching
Your student and I will meet on Zoom during evening and after-school hours, and they'll continue working on their own in between meetings. Together, we will choose the college they want to focus on first. We'll work together to make sure that your student has the tools they need to make significant progress towards a completed application.
Step 3: Submit the First Application
After completing the Common App, personal essay, and supplemental essays for one college, your student will be able to hit submit on their first application! They'll have done 80% of the work needed for the other colleges on their list, and they can confidently finish their applications on their own.
