College Application Jumpstart
for rising seniors or transfer students
If your rising senior or current college student knows they need to start their application process but feels stuck or overwhelmed, this is the first step.
In two one-on-one sessions, I’ll help your student develop a plan that includes concrete, personalized strategies they can use to make it all the way to the “submit application” button. They’ll have a chance to talk out their biggest tripping points holding them back, and move forward with a step-by-step action plan that fits their goals, timeline, and bandwidth.
The College Application Jumpstart is designed to give students the strategy and momentum they need to get going. It’s best for students who can execute a study plan with some up-front help, students who will have strong support from a school counselor, or families who are still not sure how much help their student will need throughout the application process.
What’s included:

Pre-meeting surveys (for both the student and parent) to take stock of where they are in the process and identify the most pressing questions

One 60-minute Zoom session with the student to identify their goals & obstacles, and make a plan to get started

One 45-minute follow-up session to review progress and adjust the plan as needed

A personalized action plan that outlines clear steps to move forward, including time management strategies and resources specific to the student’s needs
Here’s how it works:

Submit surveys, documents, and payment at least 48 hours before our meeting.

Show up for Session 1 ready to get to work. While parents are welcome to “say hi” or ask a few quick questions at the beginning, the session will be one-on-one advising for the student. We’ll work through whatever college admissions questions are creating the biggest obstacles and make a plan to tackle the application step-by-step.

Try out the plan over the next week or two.

Meet for a follow-up in Session 2 to check in and review your progress. Let’s iron out any wrinkles now so you can keep that momentum going.

Consult your customized action plan and timeline to stay organized and on-track for the remainder of the application process.
Cost: $545
This short-term service is designed to give your teen confidence and momentum. If your family decides to continue with more support, the full cost of the Jumpstart can be applied toward a longer-term advising package. Depending on availability, families may also be able to book additional sessions at the hourly rate.
